Who is Eligible?

Families residing in the City and County of Denver with children in the last year of preschool before kindergarten are eligible to recive tuition credits. DPP bases tuition credits on family income, household size and the quality rating of their preschool. All families, regardless of income, are eligible for tuition credit

Families have the option of choosing the preschool that meets their needs including public, private and home-based preschools. Part-day (up to 5 hours), full-day (5-8 hours) and extended-day (more than 8 hours) programs are eligible, as are preschools outside of Denver, provided they are enrolled in DPP.

Why Should I Enroll?

Preschool is essential to a child’s education. From reading and writing to problem solving, the lessons taught in quality preschool programs prepare children for a lifetime of learning. Preschool ensures that children have the skills they need to succeed so they don’t fall behind and stay behind.

Quality preschool goes beyond childcare, by supporting children’s cognitive, social and emotional skills development, as well as their capacity to continue to learn and gain their success in kindergarten, throughout their academic career and later in life.
